about the Author
Michelle Visentin resides in South Australia and is a mother of two sons. She is a horticulturalist and has worked in natural resources, native revegetation and regenerative bush practices. Michelle has always been deeply connected to the Earth and its adorable creatures, which inspire her storytelling.
She has had the pleasure of these gentle characters roaming about her creative mind for many years. Originally a script for an animation feature, it is now adapted for a children's early reader novel. Much time has passed since the inception of these feathery, quirky characters. Most of them were inspired by the rural and native landscapes of South Australia.
Michelle has accomplished other creative works in audio post-production, as a sound designer in television, radio and short film. As a Horticulturist, she has more than a passion for plants and our planet. She delights in all the glory of Mother Earth's landscapes and country. She has Horticultural and Bushcare skills and knowledge, with regeneration and revegetation projects under her belt. Horticulture and organic home produce are still her favourite hobbies. Perhaps, a little like 'Farmer Dottie'.
